Case Study - A fresh new website for TS Marine

 

Every business needs a website that they can be proud of, and that’s exactly what we created for TS Marine. 

The Wellington-based marine mechanics have clients ranging from luxury boat owners to local ferry services. They’re passionate about the work they do and they’re clear about wanting to be the best in the business, but their online presence didn’t reflect their vision. So they gave us a call. 

We met with owner Travis Stoddart to find out how we could help and came up with a plan to create a completely new website. When working with clients on website projects we introduce them to a designer whose style and approach best suits their needs. In this case Brent from Pola Design was the ideal choice and he did an incredible job. 


The design

We worked closely with Brent from Pola Design to develop a website that’s both welcoming, easy to use and informative. The design needed to reflect a love of the water and Brent achieved this with an impactful water image for the page headers that move as the viewer scrolls. He also incorporated nods to the nautical theme with the use of knot imagery. 

Creating the content 

We used our research to create content that truly speaks to their audience and helps position TS Marine as experts in their field. We enjoyed learning more about the company and their industry in the process and having the opportunity to tell the TS Marine story. We made sure every page of their website is search engine optimised and the content finished with a clear call to action. 

When planning the content we spoke with Travis about his goals and what information would be helpful to include. This is a good opportunity to address commonly asked questions and ultimately save Travis time. We decided to add a FAQ section and we made it easy to sign up to TS Marine’s e-newsletter - key for enabling the team to keep in touch with their client base. 

Digital marketing to support the new website

“Go live” is always an exciting time for us and our client - and we wanted everyone to see the new website. We created a digital marketing plan to promote the launch on social media, via Google platforms, and create an e-newsletter. This was a great opportunity to build on the TS Marine brand and Brent created striking imagery for the e-newsletter and Facebook page. This imagery reflected the style of the website which is key for establishing a strong brand identity.
